Leaving Microsoft
As many of you have already heard, after almost 10 years at Microsoft, I have decided to move on to a new adventure. On Tuesday I will be joining Neudesic, a national system integrator, helping start and grow their mobile solutions practice. Although it feels strange to say goodbye, Neudesic is a leading Microsoft partner, so I will still have many connections with happenings in Redmond.
Over the past ten years, Microsoft has been – and continues to be – a great place to work. I’ve made a lot of great friends over the years, and have had the opportunity to grow my career in ways that I could have never imagined. My decision to move was really driven by three factors: 1) A desire to get back to building solutions directly with customers, 2) an opportunity to explore the mobile space (I think the opportunities are incredible) and 3) the amazing people working at Neudesic. Although still a small company, I’ve found the quality and passion of people at Neudesic second to none, and I can’t wait to start working on some great things there.
As for this blog, hopefully little will change, aside from posts being about more mobile-related topics. With that said, I suspect that “the only person at Microsoft allowed to login as guest” needs changing! Time to think of something new, perhaps?
Congratulations Simon! Should be a fun adventure for you.
You will be missed, Simon! Best of luck!
Thanks guys – and thanks to everyone who sent me email directly. Stay tuned! More blogging to come soon…
Congrats Simon! I wish you well and hope to partner with you in the future!
